A young man was killed and two others were injured in a road accident at Nageshwari upazila in Kurigram district on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam Pappu, 25, son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Dakshin Ramkhana Felani crossing area in the upazila.
According to locals, three young men were going to work in Nageshwari this morning riding on a motorcycle.
At one stage of riding, the motorcycle went out of control and crushed with a roadside tree at Dangir Bridge area in Santushpur union at about 9:00 am, leaving Pappu dead on the spot.
Asif Ali and Sujay Chandra were seriously injured in the accident.
Later, locals rescued the injured and took them to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a nearby hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Nageshwari Police Station officer in-charge Nabiul Hasan.
