EC’s 2nd round talks with eminent citizens starts

The Election Commission’s second round of dialogue with the eminent citizens has began.

Nineteen persons, out of 39 invited eminent citizens, are attending the dialogue that started at 11:15am at Election Commission Bhaban in city’s Agargaon on Tuesday.

Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, Founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Zafrullah Chowdhury, Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh Iftekharuzzaman, Writer and Researcher Mohiuddin Ahmad, former governor of Bangladesh Bank Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairman of Centre for Urban Studies Nazrul Islam and former cabinet secretary Ali Imam Majumder are present, among others.

The first phase of talks was held on March 13 with 13, out of 30 invitees.
