During the ongoing strict lockdown in the country, the bank transaction timing has been raised to 2:30pm, extending by one more hour.
According to a circular issued by Bangladesh Bank on Tuesday, apart from weekly holidays–Friday and Saturday–the banks will remain close on July 11 (Sunday).
From July 8 to July 14, transactions will be done in the banks from 10:00am to 2:30pm maintaining social distance and health guidelines. The banks can be kept open till 4:00pm for post-transaction activities, the circular said.
It said that the schedule of daily banking transactions has been fixed from 10:00am to 2:30pm, while the concerned bank branches and the concerned departments at the head offices can be kept open till 4:00pm for carrying out other activities after the transactions.
The circular also mentioned that the officers and employees of the bank must stay at their respective workplaces during the Eid holidays.
