Two SSC candidates were killed and another candidate as well as a freedom fighter injured in a road accident in Mahamaya area under Sadar upazila here last night.
The deceased were identified as Shanto, 17, son of Nazrul Islam and Asif, 18, both residents of Hapania village under Ashikati union under Sadar upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Chandpur Model Police Station Sujan Kanti Barua said a motorcycle carrying Shanto, Asif, and Sajjad hit Nazrul Islam in Mahamaya area, leaving Shanto dead on the spot and three seriously injured.
Later, Asif died on the way to Chandpur Government Hospital.
The injured are now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the OC added.
