Four passengers were killed and at least 10 others injured in a head on collision between two buses in Sherpur upazila of Bogura early hours of Saturday.
Sherpur Fire Service and Civil Defence station officer Ratan Hossain said a Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Nabil Paribahan’ collided with another of ‘Drishti Paribahan’ coming from opposite side on the Dhaka-Bogura highway at 2am, leaving two dead on the scene and 12 others injured.
Of the wounded two succumbed to their injuries on way to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
Following the accident, vehicular movement on the highway remained halted, causing huge tailback.
