A Dhaka court on Tuesday ordered to send e commerce platform E-orange’s owner Sonia Mehzabin and her husband Masukur Rahman to jail in a fraud case.
Dhaka’s Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Bakr Siddiq passed the order rejecting their bail petitions.
Earlier in the morning, customer Taherul Islam filed the Tk 1,100 crore fraud case with Gulshan Police Station in the capital, said OC Abul Hasan. The case number is 14.
The case has been filed against E-orange owners Mehzabin, Masukur Rahman, Amanullah, Bithi Akhter and Kawser for not delivering orders despite paying prices.
Later, Sonia and her husband filed bail petitions through heir lawyers.
