Police have recovered Planning Minister MA Mannan’s mobile phone set, which was snatched away from his SUV in the capital on 30 May.
Five persons have, so far, been arrested by the law enforcers in this connection.
Confirming the matter on Monday, Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Ramna division ADC Iftekharul Islam said Ramna division recovered the missing iPhone of the Planning Minister on Sunday night after 50 days. They have also traced the mugger gang.
But he did not disclosed about from whom or where the phone was recovered.
The incident happened around 7pm on May 30 when Minister Mannan left his office and was waiting in traffic at Bijoy Sarani. As the window of his SUV was lowered, an unidentified person grabbed his phone from his hand and ran away.
A case was lodged with Kafrul Police Station following the incident.
