Arrested Helena Jahangir, who was relieved from Awami League Women Affairs sub-committee recently, was handed over to Gulshan Police Station on Friday.
She was handed over by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) to Gulshan Police at about 5:45pm.
Earlier, RAB held a press conference regarding the arresting and filing cases against Helena Jahangir at its headquarters in Dhaka.
RAB’s Legal and Media Wing director Khondker Al Moyeen briefed journalists.
Quoting Helena Jahangir, Khondker Al Moyeen said she had a relation with Bangladesh expatriate in Austria Sefuda. “Sefuda used to call her as his grand-daughter,” he said.
“Helena Jahangir had regular contacts and financial transactions with Sefuda,” he said.
