A female police inspector has filed a rape case with a tribunal in Dhaka against PBI police superintendent Moktar Hossain.
Dhaka Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Mosammat Kamrun Nahar recorded the statement of the complainant on Thursday and kept the decision pending.
According to the petition, the complainant was assigned in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Sudan’s Darfur two years back where SP Moktar Hossain had already been posted.
In the petition, she alleged that on December 20, 2019, SP Moktar Hossain raped her in Sudan. He again violated her on several occasions in Sudan and Bangladesh with a promise to marry her.
