The High Court has asked Registrar of Joint Stock Companies And Firms to submit all the documents of e-commerce platform Evaly by October 11 next.
Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarker passed the order on Thursday.
Lawyer Sayed Mahsib Hossain stood in the court for the petitioner.
Earlier, a customer filed a complaint to the Bangladesh Bank Governor, E-Cab, Consumers’ Right as the Evaly failed to deliver his product after five months of his order.
But he did not receive any respond from them and filed a writ petition to the HC seeking liquidation of the e-commerce site.
Following the writ, the court put a moratorium on the sale or transfer of all movable and immovable property of Evaly.
In the writ petition, Evaly, Registrar of Joint Stock Companies, Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit, Directorate of National Consumers’ Right Protection, bKash, Nagad, Bangladesh Competition Commission, e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB), BASIS, Bangladesh Bank and Commerce Secretary made the respondents.
