Closure of educational instts extended till June 12

The ongoing closure of educational institutions have been extended till June 12.

During this time, the teachers are continuing their online classes as usual.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni came up with the announcement on Wednesday through a virtual press conference.

“The shutdown of schools, colleges and universities extended till June 12. After that, secondary and higher secondary institutions will be reopened. All necessary hygienic measures have been taken for taking classes,” the Minister said.

She said the SSC and HSC examinations-2022 will be held on limited syllabus.

The students of VI-X will attend their classes one day in a week. They will come regularly after the COVID situation becomes normal.

The government shut the educational institutions on March 17 last year after the country reported its first Covid-19 cases on March 8.

The closure was extended several times, most recently until May 29 this year.
