Dhaka University will start its admission test for the session of 2020-21 of honours first year on October 1.
Professor ASM Maksud Kamal, pro vice chancellor (Education) of the university, said this on Tuesday.
He said, “The decision to postpone the admission test was taken considering the current situation. In this situation admission test could not be conducted in any way. We don’t want to do anything at the risk of students ’lives.”
Kamal said, “According to the new decision, our admission test will start from October 1. This time we have announced the date a little late so that it doesn’t have to change anymore. Admission test of Science Faculty will be held on October 1.”
The DU vice-chancellor further said that the admission test of the Arts Faculty will be held on October 2, the day after the examination of the Science Faculty. The written (drawing) examination of the Faculty of Fine Arts will be held on October 9, then the admission test of the Faculty of Business Studies will be held on October 21 and the last admission examination of the Social Sciences Faculty will be held on October 23.
The recommendation was made at a meeting of the deans’ committee held on Tuesday afternoon regarding the admission test.
