The High Court on Wednesday issued a contempt of court rule against director general of DGHS Dr. Abul Bashar Mohammad Khurshid Alam and four others for not complying with its judgment given by the court on February 13, 2017.
The court also ordered to explain within four weeks why the allegation of contempt of the court rule would not be brought against them.
An HC bench of Justice Mamunur Rahman and Justice Khandaker Dilruzzaman issued the ruled following a writ petition.
The four others are Health Secretary Lokman Hossain Miah, DG of Department of Consumer Protection Babul Kumar Shaha, Drug Administration DG Maj Gen Mahbubur Rahman and Indo-Bangla Pharmaceutical MD Anwarul Haque.
Adv Monzil Morshed, who stood for the petitioner, confirmed media about the court order.
Earlier, lawyer Ripon Baroi filed the writ petition over the issued.
