Police have found the severed head of a man from city’s Mohakhali area on Monday afternoon hours after recovering the body parts of the victim.
The deceased was identified as Moyna Mia,38.
Moyna’s head was recovered from a water body adjacent to T&T ground in Wireless area.
Banani Police OC Nur-e-Azam confirmed the matter.
Police recovered severed body parts of the man inside a sack from Mohakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka early Monday.
Two legs and hands were sent to Dhaka Medical Coellge Hospital (DMCH) at 1am. But the body is still missing.
Mohakhali Bus Terminal police outpost in-charge SI Harun-or-Rashid said on information, police recovered the sack, which bore two legs and two hands, from in front of Ena Bus counter.
Police suspect someone left the body parts in front of the counter and those might have the parts of the man whose body has been recovered from Amtoli.
Earlier, Banani Police Station OC Nur e Azam said a body of a youth was recovered at 9pm on Sunday from a sack dumped inside a drum beside Mohakhali’s Amtoli road. The head, legs and hands of the body were missing.
